We are situated directly in the heart of the village, beside Cúl a’ Tí – a unique little cafe, where you can get wonderful vegetarian food & woodfired pizzas in summer. On occasion have special music guests like Liam Ó Maonlaí.
Breakfast at Village House offers traditional Irish breakfast with home baked bread and freshly brewed coffee. You will also find smoked salmon and blueberry pancakes made to order.
As an alternative to this breakfast, guests can also enjoy breakfast at Cúl a’ Tí, the boutique cafe next door, which serves less traditional treats and a range of bean to cup coffees. The choice is yours!
The Village House was built around 170 years ago with the present family here for over 100 of those years.
Within the last 50 years there was a dance hall attached to the house (since demolished). This was a huge local attraction where people from around Inishowen and places further afield such as Derry & Letterkenny, gathered to enjoy music, dancing and meeting their neighbours and friends.
The hall played host to great Irish bands including Thin Lizzy, The Miami, Indians and Horslips on many occasions.
After a break of 3 years we are delighted that Village House bed and breakfast is back with new renovations and amenities. The house is run by Joan who looks forward to welcoming you to her home on the beautiful Inishowen peninsula.
The house has a garden to the back of the house where visitors can sit and enjoy in good weather. The Culdaff river flows nearby, perfect to stroll down to see after a days activities.
